Relationship Between Bud Cold Hardiness and Budbreak in Two Vitis vinifera L Cultivars, Chardonnay and Thompson Seedless

چکیده
Abstract The lack of winter cold is a severe limitation for the cultivation grapevines ( Vitis vinifera L) in areas with warm climates. This phenomenon currently becoming quite important due to global warming, which will increase temperatures many temperate regions planet where are cultivated. Although various physical and chemical stimuli have been used address grapevine cultivation, quantitative studies on its effects different cultivars limited. Here, (a) low during endodormancy (ED), (b) temperature increases eco-dormancy (ECD) (c) dormancy-breaking compounds such as hydrogen cyanamide (HC) sodium azide (AZ) budburst an early budbreak cultivar, Chardonnay, late Thompson seedless, were assessed. results analysed by Kaplan–Meier method, log-rank test was establish statistical significance between control treatments. In general, Chardonnay more sensitive than seedless all stimuli, ECD stimulus that had greatest effect both cultivars. Exposure ED increased hardiness improved Based results, relationship degree bud potential suggested, it proposed greater achieved buds, better their subsequent be.

Chloroplast genome diversity in Portuguese grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) cultivars.
Grapevine chloroplast (cp) DNA diversity was analysed for the first time through amplification and digestion of fragments of the large single copy (LSC) region by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism methodology and also by amplification of three microsatellite loci, previously described as polymorphic in grapevine. Thirty-eight grapevine cultivars collected mainly...
متن کاملDevelopment of inflorescence primordia in Vitis vinifera L cv. Chardonnay from hot and cool climates
• Flower formation in grapevines follows 3 steps: 1) formation of uncommitted primordia, also called anlagen, within the latent buds; 2) differentiation of uncommitted primordia into inflorescence primordia; and 3) differentiation of inflorescence primordia into individual flowers . Steps 1 and 2 happen during the previous season, whereas Step 3 does not happen until budbreak of the current sea...
متن کاملAnatomical Study of Primary Bud Necrosis in Vitis vinifera L. cv. Askari in Winter Dormant Bud
Primary bud necrosis in grapevine is a physiological disorder observed in the compound buds. This study was conducted to investigate the anatomical changes in cv. Askari grapevine in winter dormant buds. Bud samples were taken from Askari grapevine at Sisakht vineyards, south-western of Iran. Compound buds were dissected and assessed under a binocular microscope at 10-40x magnification and a di...
متن کاملCRISPR/Cas9-mediated efficient targeted mutagenesis in Chardonnay (Vitis vinifera L.)
The type II clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR-associated protein 9 system (CRISPR/Cas9) has been successfully applied to edit target genes in multiple plant species. However, it remains unknown whether this system can be used for genome editing in grape. In this study, we described genome editing and targeted gene mutation in 'Chardonnay' suspension cells and plan...
متن کاملSequence Polymorphisms and Structural Variations among Four Grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) Cultivars Representing Sardinian Agriculture
The genetic diversity among grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) cultivars that underlies differences in agronomic performance and wine quality reflects the accumulation of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and small indels as well as larger genomic variations. A combination of high throughput sequencing and mapping against the grapevine reference genome allows the creation of comprehensive seque...
